Next Of Kin is defined is ‘a person’s closest living relative or relatives’, but I think we have an opportunity to be way more than just the ‘in case of emergency’ name on a form.

As his advocate and primary carer, I walked my favourite person, my Dad, through the toughest time of his (and my) life. Next Of Kin was our brainchild - a way of sharing our journey with others, to light the way on what can feel like a very dark and lonely path.

While Dad lost his dance with cancer in November 2023, my purpose is now to take our learnings and find a way to share them with others, hopefully improving the healthcare system for patients, practitioners and providers of care along the way.

Welcome to conversations on how we can take better care of ourselves and the people we love most.

Join me and some of Australia’s leading experts as we laugh, learn and lament the things that make life hard. Available wherever you get pods, new episodes are released fortnightly with written articles released on alternate weeks, all designed to empower you to better navigate the healthcare system, your relationships AND the relentless obstacle course of life.
