“Attendees said she was the best MC they'd ever seen."
That right there? It’s my favourite feedback. Because I fully appreciate that being able to grab a microphone and hold the attention of a room is a specialised skill, one I’m immensely proud of and one that makes many others feel like they’re going to make a mess in their pants.
For 15 years, I’ve been asking questions of leading experts. Along the way I found some answers. So, I share them by blending my personal experiences with the evidence and a truckload of humour to bring a fresh perspective to the ways in which we look after ourselves (and the ways in which we don’t).
I can speak to anything health and wellbeing related, but love nothing more than tackling the ins and outs of the obstacle course of life. If you want a straight keynote, I can do that. But if there’s room for music, laughter, maybe a little dancing - then I’m 100% your girl. I thrive in the role of MC, host or facilitator and can speak to pretty much any room about pretty much anything.
Whether it’s hosting in-person conferences, educational webinars for 1500 GPs or highly specialised health events - I bring my journalism skills to every panel discussion and pride myself on being not just highly professional, but a joy to work with.
As a ‘non-clinician’ (read: not the smartest person in the room) I hold a unique perspective in educating healthcare professionals and the public alike: that of the patient, but one health-literate enough to seamlessly guide the conversation and ask the right question at the right time for impressive results.
That spills over to all of us, because life is too short to not have the very best information at hand, delivered without being buried in a convoluted Google mess. That’s my job, my passion and my purpose.
